Department: CC018010 Nutrition And Food Services Job Description Summary: Position Responsibilities Ensures staff is trained and competent before assignment to a particular position. Conducts employee's performance reviews and coaching as needed. Enforces disciplinary actions and provides accurate and complete documentation. Monitors job procedures and offers suggestions to improve efficiency. Coaches all employees in order to increase their level of productivity. Monitors all employees' attendance and initiates coaching / discipline process as needed. Follows up on any problems related to security, safety and/or sanitation. Is competent in scheduling of employees based on census, minimizes overtime, and informs subordinate when adjustments are made to posted schedules. Monitors all safety and closing checklists for accuracy, completeness and noted with appropriate action plans - as appropriate. Quality of food is checked for taste, temperature and portion size. Ensures that cleaning procedures are followed. Enforces proper dress code and proper use of gloves, aprons, and hair restrains. Enforces appropriate food handling procedures to ensure food safety. Using CBORD's information system, extracts usage and price data for process improvement in menu development and pricing strategies. Evaluates new product and menu offerings via market availability and customer demand. Reports safety hazards and defective equipment immediately. Maintains accurate and a complete documentation of temperature logs. Receiving incoming shipments and verifying that items match invoices in quantity, quality, and specifications. Inspecting items for any damage or discrepancies and reporting issues promptly to the purchasing manager or Chef Ensuring inventory is properly stored in designated areas to maintain easy accessibility and minimize loss Monitoring stock levels regularly. Conducting full physical Labeling or tagging items appropriately for easy identification inventories Performing regular checks for discrepancies or suspicious activity in inventory.Reporting any potential loss, theft, or damage and assisting in identifying root causes. Preparing Net Unit orders for internal distribution, ensuring accurate product and quantity selection.Assisting with restocking shelves or inventory areas as needed. Adhering strictly to safety protocols and guidelines to protect stock and ensure a safe working environment. Staying informed about product specifications, usage, and handling requirements for correct inventory management. Assisting with onboarding new supply staff. Providing guidance and supervision to supply team members to maintain high standards of safety and quality.Monitoring the condition and functioning of storage equipment such as refrigerators and freezers. Promptly reporting any discrepancies, shortages, or quality concerns regarding supplies to the Purchasing Manager or Chef.
