What we’re looking for: Senior Vice President, Strategy Director for MSL’s Healthcare practice


What you’ll do: : As SVP, Strategy Director, you will be a key leader in shaping the future of the MSL Health Practice. You’ll partner closely with account, creative, media, and analytics teams to define strategies that elevate our clients’ communications, accelerate their business objectives, and advance our reputation as the most innovative healthcare communications practice in the industry. This role is about anticipating culture, market and policy shifts, navigating scientific complexity, and translating it all into integrated earned-first strategies that move audiences and create measurable impact. You will be a thought leader to our clients and a mentor to our teams, driving bold ideas while keeping business goals, patient needs, and cultural context at the center.


Responsibilities

  • Set the Strategic Agenda: Lead development of integrated communications strategies, ensuring they ladder up to client objectives and MSL Health’s point of view.
  • Elevate Storytelling: Define positioning and messaging frameworks that simplify complex science, differentiate our clients, and resonate with diverse audiences.
  • Drive Innovation: Spot cultural, media, and technology shifts early and turn them into opportunities for our clients; introduce new tools, channels, and partnerships to give campaigns an edge.
  • Facilitate & Guide: Lead workshops, planning sessions, and scenario exercises with clients and teams, turning insights into actionable strategies.
  • Partner Across MSL and Publicis: Work hand-in-glove with Publicis media, creative, and data partners to build integrated plans that connect communications with broader marketing efforts.
  • Lead Growth & Pitches: Play a central role in new business pursuits by shaping strategy for proposals and pitches, articulating MSL Health’s differentiated value, and inspiring confidence in prospective clients.
  • Measure What Matters: Define KPIs for communications, track results in real time, and optimize strategies based on evidence and analytics (in partnership with the analytics team)
  • Mentor & Inspire: Provide guidance to strategy, account, and creative team members—fostering curiosity, rigor, and confidence in delivering best-in-class strategic counsel.

What You Should Have

  • 10 years of experience in healthcare communications, brand strategy, or related roles within an agency or consultancy environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft and execute successful strategies across multiple stakeholders (patients, HCPs, payers, policymakers, investors).
  • Exceptional communications skills: able to crystallize complex issues into compelling narratives and inspire confidence in senior clients.
  • Strong leadership presence, with a track record of building trust-based relationships and guiding senior-level client conversations.
  • Analytical mindset with fluency in using data and insights to inform strategies and measure success.
  • Experience mentoring teams and fostering a collaborative, innovative culture.


Compensation Range: $189,000-$246,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.

Salary : $189,000 - $246,000
