Exciting Opportunity at MSK: MSK is seeking a Senior Grant Administrator to join the Monitoring & Outreach Unit of the Office of Research and Project Administration (ORPA). Reporting to the Manager, Research and Project Administration, this position serves an integral function by overseeing critical post-award administration processes that support the broader research community.

In this role, you will establish complex sponsored awards, complete modifications and other post-award actions throughout the award lifecycle and serve as a subject matter expert in interpreting and applying award terms and conditions. You will also contribute to audit readiness and compliance reviews, helping to ensure effective stewardship and oversight of sponsored research funding across the institution.

Role Overview:

  • Establish sponsored research awards in eGrants in accordance with sponsor terms and conditions, institutional policies, and applicable federal regulations, including review and interpretation of executed award notices, contracts, and sponsor documentation to identify applicable requirements and non-financial deliverables.
  • Process complex post-award actions, including continuations, supplements, amendments, carryforwards, no-cost extensions, and other award changes, while maintaining timely and accurate award records.
  • Collaborate with Compliance Managers to maintain award data accuracy and integrity, proactively resolve discrepancies, and implement corrective actions that support institutional and sponsor compliance.
  • Manage outgoing subaward setup in eGrants, including indirect cost calculations using Modified Total Direct Cost (MTDC), in accordance with sponsor requirements, institutional policies, and negotiated rate agreements.
  • Assist with Uniform Guidance audits, sponsor desk audits, and other internal or external compliance reviews, as needed.
  • Review and manage incoming requests through the Award Data Management PDL daily, and triage external sponsor award notices and other communications through the SponsorP mailbox.
  • Assist with ERP implementation and system optimization, including data cleanup and the resolution of system integration issues related to award setup and data integrity.
  • Support the Manager, Research and Project Administration by documenting new business processes through standard operating procedures and creating workflows for operational improvements.

Key Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in sponsored programs administration, with comprehensive knowledge of research compliance requirements and Uniform Guidance (2 CFR Part 200).
  • Working knowledge of electronic research administration systems, preferably Huron eGrants.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to run system queries to generate ad hoc reports of intermediate complexity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret and accurately apply Facilities and Administrative (F&A) rates in accordance with sponsor and institutional requirements.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities using good judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of information.

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 37.5 hours/week

Pay Range: $83,800.00 - $134,000.00
