Controller

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to be the next Controller of our growing company. This person will help to lead and manage our accounting operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building and refining processes, ensuring accuracy, and driving efficiency within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, including General Ledger (GL), accounts payable/receivable, and month-end close.
• Establish, document, and maintain accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Collaborate with leadership on financial strategy and decision-making.
• Support audits and ensure timely regulatory filings.
• Assist with integration activities related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting specificity highly preferred)
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in accounting or finance roles, with strong GL experience.
• Proven ability to design and implement accounting processes.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (experience with other ERP systems is a plus).
• Familiarity with M&A integration processes is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with the team.
