Territory Manager
Our client, a leading organization within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry, is seeking a results-driven Territory Manager to oversee sales growth, customer relationships, and market development within an assigned territory. This role is responsible for driving revenue, expanding market share, managing retail and wholesale accounts, and executing strategic sales initiatives across distribution channels. The successful candidate will work closely with retailers, distributors, and key business partners to strengthen brand presence and maximize territory performance.
Location: York, PA and San Francisco, CA (within 25 miles of radius)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve revenue and volume objectives.
- Manage retail and wholesale accounts, ensuring strong product distribution and merchandising execution.
- Drive new product launches, promotional programs, limited-time offers (LTOs), and pricing initiatives.
- Build consultative relationships with retailers, distributors, and key decision-makers using category management and business analytics.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market penetration within the assigned territory.
- Conduct regular customer visits and business reviews to strengthen partnerships and improve account performance.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, and customer needs to develop effective growth strategies.
- Utilize CRM tools to track sales activity, customer interactions, and territory performance.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of total experience required.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in customer-facing sales, territory management, account management, or business development.
- Experience within Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), retail, food & beverage, wholesale distribution, or related industries preferred.
- Strong communication, negotiation, relationship-building, and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable sales strategies.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly throughout the assigned territory
- Ability to work independently while managing a large geographic territory and multiple customer relationships.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Equivalent experience
