About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Test Automation Lead to join a growing Quality Engineering team. This is a primarily hands-on technical role focused on building and scaling automation capabilities across the organization. While the position has a leadership focus, the day-to-day responsibilities center on designing automation frameworks, developing automated tests, and driving quality transformation initiatives.
This role is ideal for a senior automation professional who enjoys hands-on engineering while mentoring others and influencing testing strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement scalable test automation strategies and frameworks.
- Build maintainable, reusable automation solutions across applications and platforms.
- Evaluate and implement automation tools, frameworks, and best practices.
- Perform manual testing for applications that are not yet automated to support business priorities.
- Collaborate with development, QA, product, and business teams to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Mentor QA engineers on automation standards, testing methodologies, and best practices.
- Improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and overall release quality.
- Explore opportunities to leverage AI technologies to enhance test automation and quality engineering processes.
Required Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
- Proven experience leading or owning automation initiatives in enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience designing and building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience with enterprise automation tools such as Leapwork, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Tosca, Katalon, or similar platforms.
- Comfortable performing both automation and manual testing where needed.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, Agile, and CI/CD practices.
- Familiarity with AI-powered testing concepts such as intelligent test generation, self-healing automation, or AI-assisted quality engineering.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from inception to delivery.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience implementing AI-driven automation strategies in enterprise environments.
- Exposure to Generative AI tools for test case generation, automation scripting, defect analysis, or quality insights.
- Experience working with cloud technologies and DevOps environments.
- Relevant certifications in Test Automation, Quality Engineering, or AI-related technologies.
