Corrections Educator
Job Description: MSAD 54 Adult & Community Education is seeking a teacher/facilitator to assist adult education students at the Somerset County Jail and Franklin County Jail. Responsibilities will primarily focus on guiding and assisting students through the high school completion orientation process. Specific duties involve student intake, assessment, advising, general exam preparation, file documentation/record keeping, and management of educational software.
Qualifications: Adult education or K-12 certification. Prior experience in a correctional facility preferred.
40 hours/week for 47 weeks
Salary $52,577
13 paid holidays
5 weeks paid vacation
14 sick days
(Above wages and benefits for the period from7/1/26-6/30/27 would be prorated by start date)
Paid mileage up to 120 miles per week
Position includes 100% cost of single-subscriber health insurance
