Responsibilities
- Lead adoption of a Total Productive Maintenance program
- Planning and scheduling process
- Clearly defined metrics (% schedule completion, % PM completion, performance to budget, etc)
- Focus on preventative maintenance
- Determine critical spare inventory requirements
- Provide leadership and direction for all maintenance employees
- Develop and implement training plans
- Develop and implement career ladder and succession plans
- Determine required skill sets needed for the maintenance group
- Prepare annual building services and maintenance budgets and manage expenses accordingly
- Collaborate with plant leadership on long-term operating and capital improvement strategy
- Collaborate with plant leadership team to identify facility layout and manufacturing process improvements
- Provide technical resources to complete enhancement projects
- Utilize MSA Business System to facilitate daily meetings, monitor department performance, track key actions, and drive problem solving exercises
- Lead and work with a safety-first mindset
- Collaborate with site safety coordinator and plant leadership team to complete projects and tasks to maintain OSHA VPP Star status for the facility
- Actively promote behavior-based safety practices and ensure vendor adherence to the plant Contractor Safety Program
Required Experience
- 8 years of facilities engineering/maintenance experience
- 5 years in a maintenance leadership role
- Demonstrated experience implementing maintenance strategy
- Experience in tooling/working in a tool room environment as well as with mechanical and electrical equipment
- Experience with TPM
- Bachelor’s degree or Associate’s degree with work experience equivalency
- BS degree in an engineering or technical related field
