Facilities Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep, repair, and improvement of multiple buildings within our manufacturing campus. This role is hands‑on and highly visible, ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional, and well‑maintained for employees, visitors, and operations. The ideal candidate brings a strong construction background and broad technical knowledge across plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and general building maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on buildings, grounds, and facility systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to plumbing, carpentry, masonry, electrical basics, HVAC support, and general building infrastructure.
- Support new construction, renovations, and facility improvement projects, working independently or alongside contractors.
- Maintain exterior grounds including walkways, parking areas, landscaping, and seasonal tasks (snow removal, salting, debris cleanup).
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools, equipment, and vehicles, (CDL not required; but preferred).
- Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and internal teams to schedule and complete work efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA standards, and facility procedures.
Required Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in construction, facilities maintenance, or building trades.
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and general building repair.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Valid driver’s license; ability to safely operate large trucks and utility vehicles.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple buildings within one complex.
- Physical ability to lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform manual labor.
