Responsibilities
- Safely operate different types of vehicles such as buses, vans, and specialized transport vehicles for school children, seniors, or individuals with disabilities.
- Transport passengers efficiently and courteously, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
- Assist with boarding and disembarking passengers, including children or individuals requiring special assistance.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and mechanical functionality before each shift.
- Maintain accurate logs of trips, passenger counts, and vehicle maintenance needs.
- Communicate effectively with passengers, team members, and dispatchers to coordinate schedules and address any issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations diligently to ensure a secure environment for everyone involved.
Skills
- Proven experience in bus driving or commercial driving roles with a strong understanding of traffic laws and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities.
- Experience working with children or seniors; knowledge of behavior management techniques is advantageous.
- Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues.
