Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Purchasing Manager to support procurement operations, vendor management, and cost optimization initiatives. This role plays a critical part in ensuring timely purchasing, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting overall operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and delivery tracking
- Support the Purchasing Manager in vendor negotiations, pricing, and contract management
- Maintain and evaluate supplier relationships to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with internal teams to forecast purchasing needs
- Prepare and process purchase orders (POs) and ensure accuracy in documentation
- Track orders and resolve any supply or delivery issues proactively
- Analyze purchasing data to identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiencies
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procurement standards
- Collaborate with finance to support budget control and cost tracking
- Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field
- 4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems / procurement software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in hospitality, SaaS, or operations-driven environments
