Security Officer – Clothing Distribution Center
Location: Millburn, NJ
Position Type: Full-Time (39 Hours/Week)
Shift: 4 Days/Week, 7:45 AM – 5:30 PM (First Shift)
Job Overview
Maximal Security Services is seeking a proactive and vigilant Security Officer for a clothing distribution center. In this role, you will safeguard premises, inventory, and personnel through access control, active CCTV monitoring, loss prevention, and rapid emergency response.
Key Responsibilities
- Access Control: Manage visitor, employee, contractor, and vendor entry points to prevent unauthorized access.
- Surveillance & Patrols: Monitor CCTV systems and conduct regular foot patrols to identify security breaches, safety hazards, or suspicious activity.
- Loss Prevention: Assist in minimizing shrinkage by observing and reporting instances of theft, product tampering, or vandalism.
- Incident Response & First Aid: Swiftly respond to alarms, physical security threats, and medical emergencies (including CPR/First Aid).
- Conflict Resolution: De-escalate disputes professionally and liaise with local law enforcement when necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs and complete clear, concise incident reports for company records.
Qualifications & Requirements
- License: Active NJ SORA License (Required).
- Experience: Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience is strongly preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency with CCTV equipment, access control protocols, and loss prevention practices.
- Certifications: First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Interpersonal: Strong verbal communication skills, calm demeanor under pressure, and professional customer service skills.
