Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to manage conflicts effectively, and a commitment to loss prevention. The Security Officer will monitor premises from the security booth and monitor containers in the premises.
Shifts
Monday through Friday – 3pm-11pm
Saturday and Sunday – 7am-7pm
Responsibilities
- Monitor container temperatures and conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, assessing situations to determine appropriate actions.
- Manage conflicts effectively by utilizing conflict management techniques to resolve disputes among individuals on-site.
- Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or safety hazards and reporting them accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences.
- Provide first aid assistance when necessary; CPR certification is preferred.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required, providing necessary documentation and support during investigations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- First aid certification is highly desirable; CPR certification is a plus.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by company policies.
