Position Summary:
The Paint Line Technician is responsible for supporting paint line operations to ensure efficient workflow, consistent quality, and compliance with safety standards. This role plays an important part in maintaining a high-quality finish that meets customer specifications and industry requirements.
First Shift
Primary Duties:
- Correlate tags and colors properly for loading/unloading the paint line.
- Assist with part preparation, including cleaning, masking, and plugging as necessary.
- Operate and monitor paint line equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
- Perform routine maintenance and notify leadership of equipment issues.
- Inspect painted parts for quality, ensuring there are no defects such as runs, sags, or uneven coverage.
- Conduct periodic quality checks and document results.
- Perform touch-ups and corrective actions as necessary to meet quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of production, including material usage and process documentation.
- Follow technical job instructions, equipment operation guidelines, and safety procedures.
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency and product quality.
- Comply with all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate effectively with team members and leadership regarding production or quality concerns.
- Support water titration process as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in paint line operations or a related field.
- Prior leadership experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficiency in powder coating and wet paint application processes.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to lead and motivate a team.
