Shipping & Receiving Technician

Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Technician to join our dynamic logistics team. Your expertise in inventory management, shipping logistics, and warehouse systems will contribute to maintaining this position . Responsibilities:

· Receives, inspects, and documents incoming raw materials, components, material from outside processors, and packaging materials.

· Receives raw material into system.

· Contacts Quality Team Member(s) if non-conforming or suspect material is received.

· Identifies all raw material as outlined in procedures.

· Unloads and loads trucks using proper incoming and outgoing systems.

· Maintains organized raw material, components, finished goods, and packaging material areas.

· Transports raw materials, components, and packaging materials to point of use when Production Material Handler is not available.

· Pulls parts for shipments utilizing FIFO and pick tickets.

· Requests labels as required.

· Verifies that labels are correct, such as quantities, part number, revision level, etc.

· Weigh counts production parts and labels correctly.

· Packages and prepares production parts for shipment.

· Performs sorting and rework of non-conforming materials as guided by the Quality Manager.

· Completes identification and documentation requirements in a timely, complete, accurate and legible manner.

· Performs other duties as may from time to time be assigned.

· Authorities and responsibilities of this position are further defined in policies, procedures, and work instructions

Qualifications:

· Licensed fork truck operator

· Proficiency with basic measuring instruments and basic math skills

· Must have legible handwriting and printing for completing documentation

· Basic ability to understand control plans and inspection instructions

· Team participant

· Ability to lift in excess of 40 pounds

· Ability to perform frequent bending, twisting and turning movements

· Ability to carry out frequent reaching, pushing and pulling motions

· Requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time

· High school graduate
