Plumbing Installer

Position Summary

The Plumbing Install Technician is responsible for the professional installation, replacement, and repair of residential and light commercial plumbing systems. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, excellent customer service, and the ability to complete installations safely, efficiently, and in compliance with all applicable codes and company standards.

The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, maintains a professional appearance, communicates effectively with customers, and contributes to a positive team environment.

Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstallation & Technical Work

• Install water heaters, tankless water heaters, water softeners, filtration systems, fixtures, faucets, toilets, and plumbing piping systems.
• Perform whole-home repipes, sewer replacements, water service replacements, and drain system installations.
• Complete plumbing remodels and renovation projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications.
• Perform pressure testing and system startup procedures.
• Ensure all work complies with local, state, and federal plumbing codes.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site throughout the installation process.
• Properly document all work performed.

Customer Service

• Communicate installation processes and expectations with customers.
• Present a professional appearance and maintain a courteous attitude at all times.
• Answer customer questions and provide recommendations when appropriate.
• Protect customer property using drop cloths, floor protection, and proper cleanup procedures.
• Obtain customer approval and signatures when required.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Operate company vehicles and equipment safely.
• Use proper PPE and maintain a safe work environment.
• Report any safety concerns, incidents, or vehicle issues immediately.
• Maintain required licenses and certifications.

Teamwork & Professional Development

• Assist other technicians when needed.
• Participate in company meetings, training, and coaching sessions.
• Mentor apprentices and helpers when assigned.
• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to company culture.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of plumbing installation experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening requirements.
• Strong understanding of plumbing codes and installation best practices.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman or Master Plumbing License (if applicable).
• Experience with:
• Water heater installations
• Tankless water heater installations
• Whole-home repipes
• Sewer replacements
• Water treatment systems
• Excavation-related plumbing projects
• Experience using ServiceTitan or similar field service software.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to work in confined spaces, crawl spaces, attics, and trenches.
• Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, bend, and climb for extended periods.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Complete installations according to company quality standards.
• Maintain a callback rate below company targets.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction scores.
• Follow all installation checklists and SOPs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and job notes.
• Arrive on time and prepared for each workday.
• Represent the company professionally at all times.

Pay: $2,500.00 - $4,000.00 per week
