What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Controller position at Mr Greens Produce?
Mr. Greens Produce is looking for a talented Assistant Controller to join our dynamic team in Miami!
Mr. Greens has proudly grown into one of the largest privately-owned produce distributors in Florida, Georgia, and Texas. With deliveries 365 days a year, 7 days a week, and multiple runs per day, Mr. Greens has set the gold standard for service. Mr. Greens serves a large variety of clients, including restaurants, hotels, country clubs, caterers, grocery stores, and retail outlets.
The Assistant Controller is a role created to own the day-to-day operations of the close cycle, freeing the Director of Financial Reporting to focus on compliance, governance, and strategic cost control. You'll manage the close process end-to-end, lead a team of Staff Accountants and AP Specialists, and play a central role in our ERP implementation — including UAT and the migration to a fully automated, documented close.
This is a high-impact role at a pivotal moment. The infrastructure you build over the next 18 months will serve a business that is actively acquiring, opening new distribution centers, and expanding nationally.
