MR Diagnostic Services is a fast-growing eCommerce company serving the veterinary and canine reproductive industry nationwide. We supply diagnostic analyzers, medical consumables, and breeder equipment with a strong focus on operational precision and customer support.

We ship approximately 150–200 orders per week and manage nearly 1,000 SKUs. Accuracy matters here. Our operations team plays a direct role in customer experience and company profitability.

Position Summary

The Shipping & Receiving Associate ensures accurate inbound receiving, clean inventory flow, reliable cycle counts, proper return processing, light manufacturing/kitting, and overflow shipping support.

This role is critical to maintaining inventory accuracy, preventing stockouts, and supporting on-time fulfillment. Your performance directly impacts order accuracy, fulfillment speed, and operational stability.

What You’ll Be Responsible ForInbound Receiving Accuracy

• Receive all inbound shipments
• Verify shipments match purchase orders (product, quantity, condition, documentation)
• Inspect for damage, packaging changes, or discrepancies
• Escalate mismatches before inventory is received into the system
• Follow 2-day receiving rule
• Maintain organized receiving documentation

Success looks like: High receiving accuracy with minimal downstream corrections.

Inventory Restocking & Organization

• Put away reconciled inventory into correct bin locations
• Maintain accurate labeling and SKU/bin alignment
• Front-face and consolidate inventory (FIFO when applicable)
• Maintain clean, organized storage areas
• Prep analyzers and machines before shelving

Cycle Counts & Inventory Accuracy

• Execute scheduled cycle counts using Fishbowl inventory software
• Investigate and document variances
• Assist with root cause identification
• Maintain physical and system inventory alignment

RMA & Return Processing

• Process RMAs and return-to-sender shipments
• Inspect returned items for condition and completeness
• Determine restock eligibility per company policy
• Properly route items (restock, hold, disposal)
• Communicate discrepancies to Operations or Customer Service

Manufacturing & Kitting

• Assemble kits according to specification
• Verify components and labeling before completion
• Maintain quality control during builds
• Ensure finished goods are shelf-ready

Shipping Overflow Support

• Support shipping team during peak periods
• Assist with same-day fulfillment when needed
• Maintain organized packing stations
• Help ensure operational flow during high-volume days

Daily Activities Include

• Receiving and verifying inbound shipments
• Processing returns
• Completing scheduled builds/kits
• Supporting same-day shipping deadlines
• Restocking and organizing inventory
• Completing scheduled cycle counts
• Maintaining clean receiving and warehouse areas

Weekly / Monthly Responsibilities

• Review expected deliveries and vendor notices
• Complete scheduled cycle counts
• Review receiving discrepancies
• Clear Hold/Reconciliation inventory
• Maintain organized cold storage
• Validate kit specifications and BOM accuracy
• Support quarterly operational goals

Annual Responsibilities

• Support year-end physical inventory
• Assist with variance research and documentation
• Provide feedback on SOP improvements
• Participate in annual warehouse organization and deep clean

Qualifications

Required:

• Strong attention to detail
• Strong computer skills
• Comfortable working with inventory software
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Organized and process-driven mindset
• Strong written documentation skills

Preferred:

• Warehouse or inventory experience
• Experience with Fishbowl or ERP systems
• eCommerce fulfillment experience
