Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, and suspension system repairs
- Repair and overhaul powertrain components including transmissions, diesel engines, and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems)
- Conduct alignment procedures and replace shocks & struts to ensure vehicle stability and safety
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and mechanical knowledge to execute repairs accurately
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and vehicle repair data for precise troubleshooting
- Maintain detailed documentation of all repairs performed, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer expectations
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background working in the automotive repair industry
- Hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, heavy equipment mechanics, and diesel engine repair
- Strong knowledge of automotive suspension systems, brake repair, transmission repair, and powertrain maintenance
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and auto estimating procedures
- Experience working with GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical systems repair tools
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professional integrity
