Hours: Monday - Friday 5:30am-Finish
Pay: $17.25 an hour Bi-Weekly
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Lab Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all products meet stringent quality standards and regulatory compliance requirements. Your expertise in precision measurement, quality systems, and inspection techniques will be pivotal in maintaining the integrity of our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality manufacturing operations while utilizing advanced measurement tools and quality management practices.
Position Responsibilities:
- Record or compile test results or prepare graphs, charts, or reports.
- Conduct standardized tests on food, beverages, additives, or preservatives to ensure compliance with standards and regulations regarding factors such as color, texture, or nutrients.
- Maintain records of testing results or other documents as required by state or other governing agencies.
- Taste or smell foods or beverages (pickles, relish, jalapenos, yellow peppers, to ensure that flavors meet specifications or to select samples with specific characteristics.
- Monitor and control temperature of products.
- Ensures that Critical Control Points (CCP), pH is monitored and reported per company policies and procedures.
- Evaluates all aspects of the monitoring function of products are within the food safety and quality guidelines, as defined in company policy and customer specifications.
- Ensures proper recording of lot identification for ingredients, labels and finished product.
- Requests that appropriate materials are retrieved and staged for laboratory needs.
- Enforces and follows company policies and procedures.
- Follows brine making procedures and monitors analytical data for each brine batch.
Education/Experience/Capabilities Requirements
- In person regular attendance at the facility is necessary for the position.
- Knowledge of basic math.
- Knowledge of basic science.
- Must have attention to detail by being thorough in completing work tasks.
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must have the ability to work in cross functional situations.
- Must utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Physical Requirements
- Exposure to strong odors, including pickle brine, jalapenos, yellow peppers.
- Walking, standing, bending, lifting, carrying, hand/arm movement.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs is required.
