We are seeking a motivated and skilled Refrigeration Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining refrigeration, HVAC, and related mechanical systems across various commercial and industrial settings. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance of refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, and other mechanical equipment, contributing to the seamless operation of our clients’ facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance on refrigeration systems, including ammonia refrigeration units and HVAC/R equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design documents to accurately diagnose issues.
- Conduct field service visits to client sites, ensuring timely resolution of mechanical or electrical problems.
- Install, modify, and upgrade refrigeration and HVAC systems in accordance with safety standards and technical specifications.
- Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, welders, and other diagnostic equipment to evaluate system performance.
- Maintain detailed service records, reports, and logs of all work performed for accountability and future reference.
- Collaborate with property maintenance teams on plumbing, boiler operation, appliance repair, and general mechanical repairs as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician specializing in refrigeration, HVAC/R systems, or related mechanical fields.
- Strong knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, and mechanical components.
- Hands-on experience with ammonia refrigeration systems and boiler operation is highly desirable.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with welding skills and equipment repair expertise.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL or
driver certification is a plus. - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in the field under minimal supervision. Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
