Counter Sales Rep

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for ensuring customer needs are met.  Greets customers in person or via telephone and identifies sales/rental opportunities.  Provides working knowledge of oilfield products to answer customer questions.  Creates sales/rental orders based on customer requirements and drives fulfillment actions.  Creates picking and packing lists as required, picks outbound orders, packages, prepares and stages shipment for delivery.  Receives shipments from vendors, verifies contents and performs stock put away as appropriate.  Performs check out and return of rental equipment.  Verifies and documents condition of equipment and accuracy of rental contracts.  Documents and communicates needed repairs to customers with the assistance of Shop Mechanics.  Communicates arrival and availability of inventory with inside/outside sales.   Maintains an organized store and work area.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Maintains clean, organized work area
• Works in a safe manner and ensures uniform/safety policies are followed
• Addresses customers in person or via telephone in a timely, appropriate manner
• Identifies customer needs and works to fulfill
• Creates and maintains sales/rental/repair orders, collects payment as required
• Picks inventory, pulls rental equipment, and prepares merchandise for customer pickup/delivery
• Prepares outbound shipment documents
• Inspects and documents condition of outbound/inbound rental equipment together with customer
• Coordinates communication with customer of related needs – inventory arrivals, repairs required
• Receives shipments from carriers/vendors, verifies completeness, follows receiving processes, and put away inventory
• Cycle counts and performs physical inventory as needed
• Coordinates and documents transfer of material between branch locations

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year retail experience in oilfield supply or related industry
• Working knowledge of oilfield equipment/goods
• Knowledge of order management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (pallet jack, forklift, telehandler)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass background, motor vehicle history and drug screening

2. Enclosed warehouse and outdoor storage yard
3. Ability to lift 50 pounds
