EEG Technologist – Remote Monitoring & On-Site Support
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented EEG Technologist to join our team. This role involves real-time remote monitoring of EEG, EMU, LTM, and sEEG studies (up to 4 concurrent studies), as well as occasional on-site responsibilities such as patient unhooking at the conclusion of EEG studies.
Key Responsibilities
- Remotely monitor EEG, EMU, LTM, and sEEG studies in real-time.
- Perform routine EEG procedures across various modalities.
- Unhook patients at the conclusion of EEG studies as needed.
- Accurately recognize and differentiate normal and abnormal EEG patterns across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations.
- Document patient seizure semiology with precision.
- Maintain professional communication with patients and medical staff.
- Operate and troubleshoot EEG equipment and other major systems (Cadwell, Nihon Kohden, Xltek, etc.).
- Work independently with minimal supervision in a remote setting.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma (GED) or higher
- A minimum of 1-year experience in the field
- Must be ABRET board-certified R.EEGT (CLTM preferred)
- Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology as it relates to EEG
- Must have a secure HIPAA compliant workspace that is free from unauthorized viewing
- Must have a reliable internet connection and backup
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts
- Must be able to operate, store, and maintain EEG equipment as necessary
- Must maintain an appropriate supply inventory sufficient to conduct multiple EEG setups if necessary
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to move and lift up to 50lbs
- Must be able to stand, kneel, and stoop as needed
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to type at least 45 words per minute for the purposes of data entry
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:
1. Receives general direction from Director, EEG Operations.
LICENSURE, REGISTRATION, OR PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION:
1. Certification by ABRET REEGT or CLTM required.
2. Must hold a valid driver’s license.
3. Minimum of high school diploma or GED.
4. Must maintain current AHA CPR certification
