Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Java, Python, and AI/ML technologies to join our engineering team in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building scalable backend systems, APIs, and cloud-based applications, along with practical exposure to machine learning model development and ML-driven features.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using Java and Python.
- Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Integrate machine learning models and AI-driven features into production systems.
- Develop and support ML pipelines, data workflows, and model deployment services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
- Participate in design discussions, code reviews, testing, and deployment cycles.
Required Skills
- Strong backend engineering experience with Java (required) and Python (required).
- Hands-on experience with APIs, microservices, and cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with machine learning model development, training pipelines, or ML feature engineering.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
- Strong understanding of data tooling and backend integration.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and within an existing engineering team.
