What are the responsibilities and job description for the Exhibit Technician position at MPMRC?
Under the supervision of the Head of Exhibits, the incumbent starts up all exhibits and projection systems and performs routine maintenance, repairs and daily adjustments to all exhibits and audiovisual equipment throughout the museum. High school diploma or GED required. At least two (2) years' experience in Audio Visual or projectionist work required, with a focus on servicing and maintenance. Ability to trouble shoot electromechanical equipment required. An affable and engaging personality that places the visitor/guest satisfaction first. Basic knowledge of MS/Power Point. This position requires flexibility in the daily routine of the work schedule which includes holidays, weekends, and irregular days off. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 125 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts.
