Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Design Engineer to join our team. As a Design Engineer, you will work closely with our senior engineers and manufacturing supervisor to develop and design custom workholding solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and driven individual to gain hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize CAD software to create 3D models and 2D technical drawings.
- Perform tolerance stack-ups to determine proper GD&T callouts on drawings.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop product concepts and designs.
- Create detail drawings and documentation based on AutoCAD and SolidWorks assemblies.
- Conduct research and analysis to support design decisions and problem-solving.
- Participate in design reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure design goals are met.
- Interface with customers from concept to drawing.
Qualifications:
- Associates degree in computer aided design or related field is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software, specifically SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and interpreting GD&T.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in design engineering is a plus.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and/or shop experience is a plus.
