Facilities and Technology Manager Job Description
The Facilities and Technology Manager is responsible for the strategic management and operational oversight of the organization's physical facilities and technology infrastructure. This role involves ensuring the effective maintenance, safety, and functionality of facilities while managing and supporting the organization’s technology systems and solutions. The Facilities and Technology Manager will collaborate with various departments to optimize both facility operations and technology support.
Core Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance and operation of physical facilities, including office spaces, conference rooms, and common areas.
- Coordinate and manage facility repairs, renovations, and upgrades to ensure a safe and functional environment.
- Implement and enforce facility-related policies and procedures, including safety, security, and emergency protocols.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers for facility maintenance and repair services.
- Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and support of technology systems, including hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Ensure technology systems are secure, reliable, and aligned with organizational needs.
- Manage IT support staff and coordinate the resolution of technology-related issues and service requests.
- Develop and implement technology policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure facilities and technology systems meet safety and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and oversee facility and technology-related projects, including upgrades, relocations, and new installations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- years of experience in facilities management, technology management, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of facilities maintenance, technology systems, and project management.
- Proven experience in budgeting, resource management, and vendor management.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Proficiency in facilities management software and IT management tools.
