Purpose Of This Position
The Sales Operations Manager – Pricing serves as a vital strategic partner within the Sales Operations team, focused on optimizing regional business outcomes through rigorous pricing analysis and governance.
This role is the key analytical resource, responsible for solving complex pricing problems. You will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Product Groups, and Corporate Headquarters (MHQ) to develop and refine regional pricing models and strategies. While you will mentor colleagues on standard tasks and process execution, this role does not include direct people management responsibilities.
Crucially, the Manager will integrate and analyze both internal and external pricing data to identify root causes of gaps and deliver holistic, actionable insights that inform and drive major business decisions for the region. This IC position also oversees the integrity and efficiency of the daily pricing process, ensuring approvals and pricelist generation are aligned with established company policies.

Major Areas of Responsibility
- Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and internal cost structures to inform and recommend pricing adjustments that optimize profitability and market competitiveness.
- Investigate the collection and normalization of pricing data to support the development and refinement of strategic regional pricing models and methodologies in collaboration with Product Teams, Sales, Marketing, and Finance.
- Monitor and analyze special pricing trends across the region to identify root causes, diagnose process bottlenecks, and recommend policy or process adjustments.
- Collaborate with Sales leadership to understand unique, complex deal requirements and provide guidance on optimal pricing options and structures.
- Contribute to the proposal and implementation of a Deal Desk methodology to standardize, control, and accelerate complex deal management.
- Serve as the primary approver for all special price requests, evaluating requests against established criteria, profitability targets, and strategic objectives.
- Manage the end-to-end process of monthly pricelist generation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely distribution to relevant stakeholders, conforming to data security best practices.
- Actively administer all operational pricing programs, including Ship & Debit and rebates, ensuring compliance and accurate application.
- Partner with Sales, Product Marketing (PMM), and Sales Operations Analysts to gather necessary data, validate pricing information, and ensure cohesive pricing strategies and effective execution.
- Act as the primary liaison with MHQ Product and Finance teams to ensure accurate and timely integration of corporate pricing guidelines and updates into regional pricing structures.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of pricing processes (e.g., pricelist generation, SFDC workflows).
- Provide comprehensive training and support to sales teams on pricing policies, procedures, and SFDC functionalities related to pricing execution.
- Mentor colleagues on complex pricing strategies and analytical methodologies to build organizational capabilities within the Sales Operations team.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of sales operations processes and tools across the organization.
- Complete other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required
- Minimum 5 years of Pricing or related experience
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to build robust, repeatable Operational processes
- Ability to use Data to optimize organizational decision-making
- Experience in Manufacturing
- Experience creating pricing programs
- Deep knowledge of channels and channel programs
- Experience building and interpreting reports and dashboards in PowerBI
