Summary
The Recruiter & HR Specialist supports Mowi’s operations by leading full-cycle recruiting efforts and implementing effective staffing strategies to attract skilled and reliable talent. This role works closely with leadership to meet hiring demands in a fast-paced environment while ensuring a seamless candidate experience. The position also assists with onboarding and other HR activities to support overall workforce stability and performance.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, from requisition through offer acceptance.
- Partner with Directors and Managers to identify hiring needs and develop job descriptions and criteria.
- Implement effective sourcing strategies and manage job postings across platforms.
- Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support the interview process with hiring teams.
- Collaborate on offers, including compensation recommendations, start dates, and key details.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for candidates, ensuring a positive experience.
- Conduct reference checks, background screenings, and maintain accurate recruiting data.
- Use recruiting metrics to improve sourcing strategies and hiring outcomes.
- Support onboarding and assist with general HR functions, including employee support and HR administration.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of recruitment experience preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies.
- Proactive and able to take initiative.
- Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of employment laws and recruiting best practices.
- Experience with ATS and platforms such as Indeed and LinkedIn.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant work experience may be substituted for education.
