Company: Mow N Snow LLC
Location: Chisago City, MN area (Center City to Chisago City)
Pay: $24/hour
Job Type: Seasonal, part-time / on-call (November–April)
About the Job
Mow N Snow is a local lawn care and snow removal company serving the Chisago Lakes area. We’re looking for a dependable shoveler to work alongside our plow trucks this winter. You’ll clear front walks, steps, and garage door areas at residential properties, and clear and salt sidewalks at commercial and apartment properties.
What You’ll Do
- Shovel and snowblow walkways, steps, entrances, and areas in front of garage doors
- Run a small single-stage snowblower
- Apply ice melt to sidewalks at commercial and apartment properties
- Follow the route with our plow trucks and keep pace with the crew
- Report property damage, hazards, or problem spots
Schedule
- Work is triggered by snowfall (1.5" or more), so hours vary with the weather
- Storm events often start overnight or very early in the morning and can run 12 hours
- You must be reachable and ready to go when snow is in the forecast, including weekends and holidays
- The season runs roughly November through March
Transportation
- If you have a clean driving record, a company truck is available to use
- If not, you’ll need a reliable vehicle that can carry shovels and a small single-stage snowblower (pickup, SUV, or similar)
Requirements
- Reliability is the #1 requirement. Our customers count on us to show up every storm
- Valid driver’s license
- Able to work outside in cold weather for long stretches
- Able to lift and load a small snowblower (about 50–70 lbs)
- 18 or older
Nice to Have
- Snow removal experience
- Plow truck experience (a big plus)
Why Work With Us
- $24/hr, well above typical shoveling pay
- Small, local crew. You’re not a number
- Possible spring and summer work on our lawn care crews for the right person
To apply, send your resume or a short note about your work experience and availability.
