We are seeking a FULL TIME 40 HOUR PER WEEK dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our pediatric team.
This position provides services in home and community settings, helping children develop the skills necessary for daily life and play through individualized, family-centered interventions.
We offer STRUCTURED and FORMAL MENTORSHIP for new graduates or new to early childhood settings with outcomes for the therapist. We use evidence based practices for community based settings.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide direct therapy to children in their natural environments (home, daycare, community)
- Educate and coach families/caregivers to support carryover of therapeutic strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with state and program guidelines
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities
- Competently address children of any age who may demonstrate behaviors that are commonly occurring with special needs children populations
- Applicant will use a wide range of clinical skills to work with a variety of needs including physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, feeding, sensory processing interventions, social skills, social-emotional/psycho social interventions, and community integration skills.

Year round position. This is not school based position.
Applicant will be required to drive to clients in a given county in own vehicle. This position is located in the general area for Dutchess ,Orange, and/or Ulster County. Cases are based in general area from candidate's location. However, if needed, applicant may be requested by employer within reason to travel to a neighboring county (ie cases from Poughkeepsie to Highland). Applicants located in a great distance from the Hudson Valley, may not be a best fit.
