Automotive Quality Engineer – IATF 16949

This is a hands-on Quality Engineer role supporting a 24/7 facility (430 employees / 3 buildings) focused on metal fabrication, welding, and coating processes tied to automotive/towing products.
You’ll work directly with the Quality Manager and a collaborative team of engineers to own core automotive quality systems and customer-facing initiatives.

What you’ll do:
- Own and drive IATF 16949 compliance
- Lead APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans
- Run internal/process audits LPAs
- Handle OEM customer requirements (Ford / GM / Stellantis, etc.)
- Lead root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys) corrective actions
- Support new product launches
- Track KPIs, scorecards, and customer issues
What they need:
- 3–5 years in automotive quality (IATF environment required)
- Strong experience with core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers
- Degree preferred, not required
