Process Engineer
Muskegon, MI - On-Site - Full-Time
About the Role
We are seeking a driven, outspoken Process Engineer to join our manufacturing operation in Muskegon. This is not a desk job, we need someone who owns their processes end-to-end, isn't afraid to challenge the status quo, and proactively engages with operators and production leadership to drive measurable improvements in yield, throughput, and quality.

What You'll Do
- Serve as the true owner of assigned manufacturing processes — from documentation and control plans to daily performance and long-term improvement
- Actively partner with operations leadership and production operators to identify and eliminate yield losses, bottlenecks, and quality escapes
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (kaizen, DMAIC, 8D, or equivalent) with a bias toward action and measurable results
- Analyze process data to establish baselines, set targets, and track progress against key metrics (OEE, scrap rate, cycle time, throughput)
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective action for process deviations and non-conformances, and hold the floor accountable to documented standards
What We're Looking For
- 3–7 years of process engineering experience in a precision or high-volume manufacturing environment
- A track record of owning processes
- Someone who is vocal, direct, and comfortable pushing back respectfully on operators, supervisors, or leaders when the data supports it
- Strong working knowledge of statistical process control, process capability, and root cause methodologies
- Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Proficiency with data analysis tools (Minitab, Excel, etc.)
- A collaborative personality with the confidence to influence without authority
Background That Will Set You Apart
- Experience in metals, machining, stamping, casting, or other precision/regulated manufacturing environments is a strong plus, though we will consider any candidate who brings the right mindset, technical fundamentals, and personality to make an immediate impact.
Salary : $95 - $110
