SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB: Entry-level position that maintains and controls business transactions of the organization, analytical work and review financial records by applying General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
SALARY RANGE: Negotiable - Based on experience
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Assists in preparing internal and external consolidated financial statements
- Participates in month/year-end closings, account reconciliations and journal entries, accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Develop and maintain a process to record customer chargebacks, allowances and rebates
- Handles accounts payable/receivable functions for 2 smaller companies
- Learn and expedite other accounting duties and tasks as needed
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in accounting with 2 years of experience in public accounting or private industry preferred manufacturing
- Highly proficient in MS Excel and experience with an ERP software; Microsoft D365 F&O a plus
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Creative problem-solving skills coupled with being detailed and task oriented
- Ability to follow directions in a concise manner and works well in a team-oriented environment
