Position Summary:
The Staff Accountant will support our clients by preparing financial statements, managing general ledger activity, performing reconciliations, and assisting with tax preparation and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Perform general ledger reconciliations and journal entries
- Prepare business and individual tax returns
- Analyze financial data and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Prepare payroll tax filings and sales tax returns
- Communicate with clients to gather information and resolve questions
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred, Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent training and experience required
- Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop and Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
Work Hours:
- Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
- Extended hours during busy season/special projects required
- In-office position based in LaGrange, GA
