The Mountrail County Weed Board is accepting applications for a Weed Control Technician/GIS Specialist. Duties include:
- Assisting with weed inspection, control, and management planning.
- Performing GIS data collection, mapping, and technical support for Weed Control and the County Ag Agency.
- Supporting regulatory compliance, public outreach, and landowner education programs.
This is a full-time position offering a generous pay package ($60,300-$72,523 per year DOE), and excellent benefits including fully paid family health insurance and retirement plan.
Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid Class D driver’s license, be proficient in GIS mapping and data management, and be able to complete an agriculture pest control and Weed-Free Forage Inspector certification (training provided). Experience in grant writing and public education and a bachelor’s degree in Agronomy, Natural Resources, GIS or related field preferred.
