Responsibilities
The Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for the delivery of quality patient services, office communication, and information storage and retrieval services to patients and staff by performing related reception and clerical duties. Assist physicians in providing primary health care and management of patient care.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High school or GED.
- At least one (1) year of relevant experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant certification through AMT, NHA, NCCT, or AAMA
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Previous medical assistant experience or background.
- Bilingual a plus.
Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education, and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
