Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows across various residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that each installation meets safety standards, quality expectations, and client specifications. Responsibilities
- Measure window openings accurately
- Remove old windows carefully, protecting surrounding surfaces and structures during demolition.
- Prepare window frames and surrounding areas by performing carpentry tasks such as frame carpentry, metal stud framing, or trim carpentry as needed.
- Install new windows using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to secure fixtures firmly in place.
- Seal gaps with caulking to ensure weatherproofing and energy efficiency while maintaining a clean aesthetic.
- Conduct quality checks on completed installations to verify proper operation and adherence to schematics and safety standards.
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, chisels, and levels; experience with power tools including drills, saws, and grinders.
- Experience in glass installation, metal stud framing, fabrication, manufacturing or remodeling projects.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique to prevent injury.
- Familiarity with construction site safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Skilled in caulking, fixture installation (such as lighting or hardware), trim carpentry, and door hanging.
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile project support; knowledge of construction painting is beneficial for finishing touches.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly on-site during installation or repairs.
