Duties
- Assist licensed speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized speech therapy plans tailored to each client’s needs, including those with speech and language disorders.
- Support children with disabilities through engaging therapy activities that promote early language development, articulation, fluency, voice, and swallowing functions.
- Conduct therapy sessions via in-person settings, ensuring consistent delivery of treatment strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, progress notes, and client communication records in compliance with organizational policies.
- Assist in data collection and analysis to monitor client outcomes and adjust therapy approaches as needed.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children with disabilities in educational or clinical environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of speech-language pathology principles, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to communication disorders.
- Experience supporting language disorders, speech sound support, voice issues, or fluency challenges is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills for engaging with clients, families, educators, and healthcare professionals effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating professionalism and attention to detail.
- Relevant certifications or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant are required
