Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily sanitation activities across multiple departments, including food processing, manufacturing, and warehouse spaces.
- Lead by example in performing industrial cleaning tasks such as heavy lifting, equipment sanitation, and detailed custodial work.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, ensuring all areas meet strict sanitation standards and regulatory requirements.
- Train sanitation team members on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and use of cleaning equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections to verify cleanliness, identify areas needing attention, and document compliance with health standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment and proper maintenance.
- Promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and teamwork within the sanitation crew to maximize productivity and morale.
Experience
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in industrial settings such as food production facilities or manufacturing plants.
- Prior experience leading sanitation or cleaning teams in environments requiring strict hygiene standards.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment, industrial cleaning techniques, and safety protocols related to heavy lifting and chemical handling.
- Knowledge of food processing or warehouse operations is highly desirable to understand specific sanitation needs.
- Ability to train staff effectively on sanitation procedures while maintaining high standards of quality control.
