Position Responsibilities/Expectations:
- Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine resident's needs.
- Bathes, dresses, and undresses residents. Assists residents with bowl and bladder training and/or provides incontinence care. Document intake/output as required.
- Serves and collects food trays and feeds residents requiring help. Is familiar with special diets and dietary restrictions.
- Transports residents or assists residents to walk. Perform restorative nursing programs and ROM exercises as directed by physical therapist or professional nurse.
- Turns and reposition bed-fast residents, alone or with assistance, to prevent bedsores. Uses hoyer lift, soft stretcher and/or transfer belt as directed by physical therapist for professional nurse.
- Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, and answers phone.
- Takes and records temperature, pulse and respiration rates, and food/fluid intake and output, as directed.
- Transport and fill oxygen tanks, transports other equipment as needed.
- Maintains work areas and resident rooms in an orderly fashion.
- Provide postmortem care.
- Maintains universal precautions when working with residents.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
- Graduate from a state approved C.N.A. training.
- Prior sub-acute and/or long term care a plus, but not required.
- Basic addition and subtraction skills
Requirements:
- Current Pennsylvania Certified Nursing Assistant License
Physical Demands:
- Employee is regularly required to walk.
- Frequently required to stand and use hands to finger, handle or feel.
- Occasionally required to sit, reach with hands and arms and talk and/or hear.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 75 lbs.

Salary : $35,000 - $55,000
