Qualifications

  • Computer skills
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Must be at least 19 years old when submitting an application
  • Completing and maintaining a satisfactory federal background check
  • Have a valid CPR/First Aid certification

Responsibilities

  • Support Staff provide support and act as role models to young people
  • Some of the duties include being mentors, enforcing rules, and modeling positive behaviors
  • You help us supervise and mentor these clients, overseeing their participation in group activities and encouraging them to complete day-to-day tasks
  • Support Staff need to be passionate about making a positive change in our clients' lives and may handle high-stress situations
  • Apply Positive Peer Culture and the Developmental Vacation Treatment model
  • Being responsible for his/her own development and training and asking for clarification or help, if needed
  • Properly performing shift changes at the beginning and end of each shift
  • Oversee the clients and implement safety precautions
  • Enforce the existing Program's daily schedule and structure as outlined in the Clients Handbook
  • Review BestNotes and the shift schedule before the start of the shift
  • Ensure that the client's safety and containment are maintained at ALL TIMES
  • Follow the protocol in maintaining discipline among clients
  • Display exemplary behavior and follow employee guidelines
  • Maintain a log of students' behavior and submit the log no later than 24 hours
  • Perform other duties delegated by on shift manager
  • Attending weekly Cottage meetings to discuss the client's behavior and progress

Summary

  • Must be at least 19 years old when submitting an application.

Attending staff training meetings on a monthly basis
