Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly, energetic attitude and provide a warm welcome upon arrival.
- Manage reservations and waitlists using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to optimize seating arrangements.
- Escort guests to their tables, ensuring they are comfortable and informed about menu options or specials.
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times or reservation details while practicing excellent phone etiquette.
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to communicate guest needs and seating availability efficiently.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring it reflects the welcoming environment of the restaurant.
- Handle guest concerns or special requests promptly, demonstrating exceptional guest services and hospitality skills.
Experience
- Prior experience as a host/hostess in a food service or restaurant setting is highly preferred.
- Strong customer service background with excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous.
- Experience in hotel or guest services roles enhances ability to manage diverse guest needs effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a positive attitude under pressure.
- Knowledge of hospitality standards, including serving etiquette and guest relations, is beneficial.
