About the Role:
We are seeking a driven and adaptable individual to support our growing portfolio of manufactured housing and RV communities. This role is ideal for someone looking to break into the property/asset management industry, having passion for the industry and a personal drive to succeed. Or someone with experience in the field looking to level up. Traits for this candidate should include strong sense of responsibility, ownership of challenges, self-starter, ability to follow direction, ability to multi-task, and a general understanding of how to contribute to the success of a team.
The successful candidate will be based in Redding, CA working on a team and at the direction of our local Regional Asset Manager. This portfolio of properties includes about a dozen manufactured housing and RV communities with various ages, make-ups, amenities, and star ratings. This role requires a proactive approach to managing assets, ensuring compliance with regulations, and enhancing tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities of the assignment:
- Assist the Regional Asset Manager with day-to-day oversight of operations.
- Work with Regional Asset Manager on budgeting, financial analysis, projections, Property Inspections, curb appeal expectations.
- Training locally in the field, working side by side with the Regional Manager and doing whatever it takes to help the communities.
- Travel for the position will be local within a 2 – 3 hours’ drive.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial targets, and regulatory requirements.
- Work with Regional to prepare for monthly Maintenance and Community Manager meetings.
- Fill-in and cover communities as the Community Manager on temporary basis as needed.
- Identify operational inefficiencies through weekly and monthly community checks via operating system
- Support new property transitions, and special projects.
- Collaborate with support staff effectively.
- Collaborate with the asset management team to provide operational insight and support value-enhancing strategies.
Qualifications:
- 2 years minimum of property management experience.
- 2 years minimum of managerial experience.
- Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Self-starter, high energy.
- Ability to take direction and give direction.
- Willingness and ability to travel; occasionally overnight.
- Interest in asset management and growth, real estate, and sales.
- An understanding and passion for servant leadership philosophy.
- A big emphasis on being a team player.
