Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to oversee daily operations in our fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service, and a solid understanding of food preparation and management. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the restaurant during your shift, training staff, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Manage staff schedules, including training new employees and conducting performance evaluations.
• Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality standards.
• Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
• Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to maximize profitability.
• Collaborate with management to implement training and development programs for staff.
• Foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a quick service or fast food restaurant is required; casual dining or fine dining experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and production techniques.
• Familiarity with cash handling procedures and inventory control practices.
• Proven supervisory experience in a restaurant or food service setting is essential.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage guest relations effectively.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in team management, training, and development.
• Knowledge of culinary practices, kitchen management, and food safety regulations is preferred.
