The Coda Coffee Production Supervisor oversees a team of Roasters to ensure we are roasting coffee safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. This position will work directly with the Plant Manager and Production Manager to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met or exceeded while maintaining an engaging leadership style and helping ensure a culture of continuous improvement among the roasters

The Coda Coffee Production Supervisor oversees a team of Roasters to ensure we are roasting coffee safely, efficiently, and according to specifications. This position will work directly with the Plant Manager and Production Manager to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met or exceeded while maintaining an engaging leadership style and helping ensure a culture of continuous improvement among the roasters
Position Responsibilities:
- Roasts all coffees based on production demand
- Assures that the roasting team is recording all roasted batch information for Lot Tracking and FDA reporting purpose
- Controls the use of and gets approvals for substitutions when necessary
- Works with Production Management to ensure coffee is being completed from roasting to its specified packaged state
- Works with our Quality Assurance and Quality Control departments to help assure procedures and processes are being followed
- Works with Production Management and Green Buyer to perform necessary tests
- Trains new employees on proper techniques of roasting
- Ensures that recipes are properly set up according to each Roaster
- Schedules which machine and team members will be assigned with what tasks
- Ensure you and your team are assisting other departments as necessary
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Complies with all policies and standards
Required Education:
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience
- 1 - 3 Years Hands-on coffee roasting experience
- Proficiency in roasting equipment (e.g., Probat, Loring, Diedrich).
- Understanding of roast profiling and cupping for quality control.
- Knowledge of green coffee sourcing and inventory management.
- Ability to lead a team, schedule shifts, and enforce safety protocols.
