MHPS is accepting applications for the position of Licensed School Counselor (Mid Level, 6th-7th grade) for the 2026-27 school year;
Must meet Arkansas licensure requirements;
Job Summary:
The counselor, under the supervision of the principal, serves as a facilitator in emotional, social and vocational growth and development to all those associated with the school. The counselor’s role consists of three primary functions: counseling, coordinating, and consulting. Specific goals are as follows: (1) To help each student develop a positive and realistic self concept and to develop constructive interpersonal relationships; (2) To help each student develop a positive attitude toward the learning process; (3) To provide career information with emphasis on the respect for the dignity of work; and (4) To act as an advocate for the students;
