District Safety & Security Coordinator

205 day contract

Base Salary $31,980.00

Requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in law enforcement – preferably in schools. 
• Must be an Arkansas Commissioned School Safety Officer or be willing to complete the necessary training and certification process. 
• Must be willing to participate in all required training to maintain CSSO good standing. 
• Must stay up to date on all policies related to school safety. 

Duties:

• Patrol and monitor school campuses, parking areas, and adjacent areas for unsafe conditions, hazards, illegal acts, suspicious activities, unauthorized persons, or other safety-related conditions or activities. 
• Maintain safety and security of school campus grounds and protect students, staff, and property. 
• Enforce campus and district rules and regulations. 
• Respond to emergency situations. 
• Oversee the district crisis plans and crisis teams. 
• Complete and monitor state-required site safety assessments. 
• Serve as a liaison to the technology department with:
• the filtering and monitoring systems
• district surveillance camera checks and playbacks
• assisting administrators with surveillance videos
• assisting third-party security contractors during planning and installment of security-related equipment. 
• Ensure compliance at all district campuses with school safety requirements.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and school resource officers. 
• Complete all other duties as assigned.
