Mountain Dermatology Specialists located in Edwards is seeking a License Practical Nurse, Medical Assistant or CNA. We are a busy dermatology practice with two Full-time physicians and a Physician Assistant. Our practice is open Monday-Friday. Two days a month we see patients in our Dillion office. We offer an excellent benefits package for full-time employees (32 hours or more). Pay is based on experience.
Job Overview
The Medical Assistant is responsible for completing an intake on patients, setting up treatments, learning all dermatology services, providing support to Physicians and providing exceptional customer service to all patients.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Keeps clinic/exam rooms fully stocked and clean at all times / follows all HIPAA and OSHA requirements/protocols
- Assist in the different type of medical/cosmetic treatments within the practice and follows the necessary steps to support the physicians
- Checks nurse email and voicemail. Responds to patients in a timely manner. Triages information needing to go to a physician
- Greets patients, completes in-take process
- Enters patients information into EMR system.
- Uses dictation software to record patient notes
- Provides support in setting up treatments/surgeries for physicians
- Prepares biopsies / returns pathology phone calls
- Wash gowns/laundry, sterilization of instruments using the autoclave
Qualifications
- 2 years of medical assistant experience preferred but not required
- Knowledge of medical terminology and safety practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Detail oriented and able to follow instructions
- The desire to learn and grow within this position
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $43.00 per hour
