Salary: $20 - $25 Per Hour
Mountain Community Health Partnership is seeking a full time Lead Phlebotomist. The Lead will play a vital role in patient care by performing blood draws, managing lab operations, and serving as a liaison between patients, providers, and lab staff. The lead will also support administrative duties, oversee lab staff scheduling, and ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection across all age groups.
- Provide clear explanations of procedures and ensure patient comfort.
- Respond to patient inquiries and resolve concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Host lab team meetings and assist in policy development.
- Oversee lab scheduling and time-off requests.
- Review monthly quality control and maintenance logs.
- Support implementation of new testing procedures.
- Perform in-house CLIA waived testing and document results.
- Maintain and calibrate lab instruments and equipment.
- Address outdated lab orders and manage lab-related documentation.
- Screen LabCorp reports for financial accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Certification in Phlebotomy required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience preferred. Bilingual candidate preferred.
